The following programs are pre-approved for NFIP:

  • Dept of Transportation Eisenhower Graduate Fellowships (DDETFP Grad)
  • Ford Foundation Fellowship Program — Dissertation
  • Ford Foundation Fellowship Program — Postdoctoral (applicants must be currently enrolled as full-time, degree-seeking graduate students)
  • Fulbright U.S. Student Program Fellowships (Research and Study Awards Only; ETAs not eligible)
  • Fulbright-Hays DDRA (minimum duration 8 mos.)
  • GEM Fellowships (PhD/Full Fellows)

If you applied for a fellowship that does not appear on this list but still meets the criteria outlined in the “Eligibility” tab, you can (and should) still apply for NFIP funds.  Applications for fellowships that do not appear on the list above will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.  The NFIP application includes space to provide documentation that the external fellowship for which you applied meets the program’s eligibility criteria.
